Disco Fluff

December 2006

Disco Fluff contains exactly what it says on the tin, a bunch of disco house tracks, both old and new to keep it fresh and funky. Borderline was a massive hit for Michael Gray in 2006 and is included here along with more recent hits from Seamus Haji.

Old skool house is provided by Eddie Amador whilst Louie Vega adds a dash of Gallic flair with Mon Amour. Funk is taken care of by Dave Lee under his Doug Willis and Joey Negro monikers.

The initial mix was several minutes too long and had to be pared down with one track being dropped completely. Given that Disco Fluff is my own personal favourite, choosing a top track was always going to be difficult so the medals are jointly shared between the remixed Roy Ayers classic Running Away, Da Slammin' Phrogz, the gospel inspired My Heavenly Stars and the sexy French lyrics of Mon Amour.
