Adrenalin Junkie
May 2003
This set has more of a harder and progressive sound with a much quicker tempo that was tricky to mix. I like the way some of the tracks gradually build up the bassline and cut the mid-range to reach an uplifting crescendo before crashing back down.
With lots of classic tracks, it's difficult to choose a favourite. The BT numbers are great along with his collaborative remix with Paul van Dyke whilst Run To You by Rage was a staple on most good dance compilations in the early 90's.
At a pinch though, the lovely soulful piano percussion in You Sexy Dancer just manages to pip a furious angry bass line in I Need You even though Pendulum's offering grips you by the throat and refuses to let go.
