Welcome to Shujaka.com

Shujaka

You want silky smooth house music? Perfect beat matching? Funky tunes and the latest tracks?

Well you've come to the wrong place then, this is just me in my spare time with a pair of decks, a minidisc and whatever else I can get my hands on to try some old school mixing.

See the guy on the right? That's me trying to look cool and edgy.

When I'm not trying to mix, I like to travel and have spent a lot of time in the Middle East. You can read my ramblings about the countries I've visited along with whatever else I've been up to in the journal section.

There's a video player hidden somewhere on the site too that contains some classic music video's as a reward for having a thorough snoop around. It's not signposted but can be found easily enough.

The museum has a list of old audio video and mobile gadget reviews, and eventually my old 8-bit Commodore 64 game collection, whilst the mixes section has details and track listings of sets where you can also listen to MP3 clips as well as download the full mix. Finally, for the two of you out there who are interested, you can read a bit about my ambitiously small art collection.

Current work in progress

Section Update
Syria Diary Have been going through all the pictures and video's taken during my trip to Damascus and these will be uploaded shortly once it's been whittled down to the most interesting shots and clips.
Streaming Music All the sets are currently available as MP3 clips to download so it makes sense to add a streaming music player to preview the tracks online.
Shujaka Blog I've been toying with the idea of having a semi-regular blog so I might add one of these although I've got a feeling it would just end up containing the rantings of an angry commuter.
Laurel & Hardy My second website was a tribute to Laurel & Hardy. I did this with a friend of mine who was also a huge Laurel & Hardy fan and the site not only contained details of all their films but also MP3's of the original scores. The site has long since been taken down when GeoCities was eaten by Yahoo but the original files are still intact (thank the Lord for floppy disk backups) so I'm keen to resurrect this tribute once more.
Museum The first website I created way back in 1998 had a Java applet starfield space type thing that didn't do much but looked really cool. The website was all about my Commodore 64 game collection along with the NeoGeo emulation scene which was quite active at the time. I've still got the original files and aim to put these live sometime once they've been tidied up.
